# Profiles

> Your shareable identity — and why you might want more than one.

A profile is what a visitor sees after tapping or scanning. Name, photo, title, company, and your [links](/en/mobile/links).

## More than one profile

You can hold several profiles and switch which one is active. The active profile is what gets shared.

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Different roles" icon="user-tie">
    One profile for your main role, another for a side responsibility or a second brand you represent.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Different events" icon="calendar-days">
    An event-specific profile with a relevant booking link and conference branding, retired afterwards.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Different audiences" icon="users">
    A sales profile leading with a demo link; a recruiting profile leading with the careers page.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Different languages" icon="language">
    A profile in the local language for regional events.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

<Warning>
  Your active profile decides more than appearance. Permissions and the CRM connection your leads flow through follow the **selected profile's department**. Switching to a profile in another department changes where your captured leads end up.
</Warning>

## Editing your profile

Edit the fields your department allows. Locked fields still appear on your profile — you just can't change them, because an admin set them centrally.

Contact details sit on their own tab. Alongside your mobile number and email, you can add a **landline** and a **fax** number. Both are optional.

<Tip>
  Photo and title are the two fields visitors actually read before deciding whether to engage. If you only maintain two things, maintain those.
</Tip>

## Views and taps

Each profile tracks how often it's been viewed and shared. Useful for telling whether an event profile earned its setup, or which of two approaches gets more engagement.

Admins see this across the team under profile activity in [Insights](/en/insights/overview).

## Lead capture on a profile

Whether a profile shows a capture form, and which fields it shows, comes from your [lead capture form](/en/leads/lead-capture-forms) — unless your profile uses a template that defines its own fields, in which case those win.

<Note>
  If you've edited your capture form and the change isn't showing, you're almost certainly on a template that defines capture fields. Ask your admin.
