Tailored Exchange requires a Pro+ plan and an activated physical Tap product. It’s an iPhone feature — Android devices open your profile link as they always have.
Turning it on
Open the product in Tap products, choose Tailored Exchange, and Activate.1
Design the card
Pick a cover image, then write the name and job title you want shown. There’s a live preview — this is the first thing a new contact will see of you, so it’s worth a real photo rather than a placeholder.
2
Submit
Tap registers the card with Apple and generates a new link for your product.
3
Rewrite your card
Hold your Tap card against the phone so the new link can be written onto it. This is the same write you did when you activated it.You have to scan the same product you’re updating. If you scan a different card you’ll see “That’s a different product. Please scan the product you’re updating.” — Tap checks before it writes, so you can’t overwrite the wrong card by accident.
Editing or turning it off
Open the product again and choose Tailored Exchange. From there you can Edit the card — a different photo, a new job title — or Deactivate it. Deactivating returns the product to ordinary behaviour: tapping it opens your profile in the browser. Your profile, links, and analytics are untouched either way. When it doesn’t work

Most likely Apple hasn’t approved it yet — allow the full two days. After that, check the product still carries the new link: reopening Tailored Exchange on the product will tell you its current state.

Expected. This is built on an Apple feature. Android phones open your profile link, which is the normal experience.

Tailored Exchange is a Pro+ feature. The app will offer the upgrade when you select it.
Activation fails with an error from Apple
Activation fails with an error from Apple
The message you see comes from Apple directly. Nothing is charged and nothing is left half-configured — a failed attempt is cleaned up, so you can just try again. If the same error repeats, send it to support.
Managing your products
Activate a card or tag, link it to a profile, and manage it later.
