Plan names, prices, and what each includes are deliberately not repeated here — they’d go stale the day they changed. See Pricing in Tap Teams or the public pricing page.
Personal vs company entitlements
An entitlement is scoped one of two ways, and the difference decides who is allowed to spend it:Personal
Granted to one named individual. Only that person can consume it. Used for individual Tap subscriptions.
Company-wide
Granted to a company. Any member of that company consumes from the same shared pool, regardless of who bought it.
Transcription minutes
Meeting transcription is the main metered feature.- A slot is reserved when a meeting starts processing, not when it finishes.
- If your quota is exhausted, the meeting is rejected up front with a quota error rather than processing and failing later.
- Usage is written to an append-only log, so historical totals survive a plan change, a downgrade, or a billing-cycle rollover.
No entitlement means no enforcement. If a company has no matching entitlement rows at all, quota checks don’t apply. This is deliberate backward-compatible behavior for accounts that predate metering — it is not an unlimited plan, and it changes the moment an entitlement is issued.
Enrichment credits
Lead enrichment spends credits from a company-wide pool, separate from transcription minutes. A lookup that finds nothing is not charged. Credit packs can expire, and the balance shows the date before it happens. Your full-team admin can also cap what one member may spend in a month. See Lead enrichment → Credits.Feature gating
Separately from metered quotas, features are gated by plan. Three groups exist:
Link types are also gated individually. Some specialised link types are restricted to paid plans, which is why a link type visible in your teammate’s app may be missing from yours.
When you hit a limit
A meeting fails to process with a quota error
A meeting fails to process with a quota error
Your transcription pool is exhausted. Buy a package, or wait for the cycle to roll over. The recording itself is not lost — only the processing is blocked.
A member can't add a particular link type
A member can't add a particular link type
Two possible causes, in this order: the link type is gated to a higher plan, or their department restricts that link type. Check Department permissions first — it’s the more common of the two and it’s free to fix.
A feature is missing from the dashboard entirely
A feature is missing from the dashboard entirely
Team features are hidden rather than disabled when your plan doesn’t include them. If a whole section of navigation is absent, it’s a plan boundary, not a bug.
